    Kristen Baker

    Burlington

Hi, I have a current freshman, and am a mother of 7. I have worked in a school for the past 22 years. As a director in the school, I work with budgets, updating parent/staff manuals, policy, staffing etc. I would love the opportunity to be involved in some of the decision making and growth at Shawsheen while my son is there and for if/when my younger children may choose to attend. I think Shawsheen gives our children amazing opportunities, and want to make sure that they only get better.

    Melissa Bates

    Billerica

I would like to be a returning member of this year's school council. My child is currently in his Junior year at Shawsheen and I was an actively vocal parent contributor to the school council in the 2021-2022 school year, speaking in the regular monthly meetings; I contributed to updates in the school handbook as well as changes impacting the budget. Outside of the school council, I'm involved in a national parent education organization regarding how to best educate and involve yourself in your child's education and I am a corporate accountant by trade. I look forward to representing the parent community in the monthly School Council meetings.

    Dina Castiglia

    Tewksbury

I have been honored to be a part of the school council for the past 4 schools my son has attended. All School Councils were in the town of Tewksbury. Starting with a request for me to join by the then Principal Felicia Whettstone of the Heathbrook from K - 2nd grades & continued for the next 2 years while then serving with Matt Castongway at the Trahan through 3rd - 4th grades. I then focused pre & post pandemic with Judy McInnis at the Ryan 5th & 6th grades and for the last two years with Principal John Weir for 7th & 8th grades. I have worked with four separate principles over the past 9 years and together we have accomplished all of the tasks that appear in this listing, I would love the opportunity to serve on the school council here at Shawsheen Tech. I am passionate about working to create a better environment for the current and future children in any learning experience.

    Maureen Castiglione

    Tewksbury

My name is Maureen Castiglione. I live in Tewksbury, and have a sophomore at the Tech. I am an active parent volunteer with Shawsheen Tech PAC. I would love to be on the School Council at Shaw Tech. I have spent many years involved in various school PACs, booster clubs, and committees/organizations including the Boy Scouts. Additionally, I was part of a core group of 6 volunteers who kept the TPS libraries K-8 running for close to 10 years until the district finally rehired librarians and aides. I also sing and perform with Voices of Hope, a group that raises money for cancer research at MGH Termeer Center. I hope you will consider supporting me for one of the open spots on the Shaw Tech School Council.

    Malcolm Farrell

    Billerica

My name is Malcolm Farrell and I grew up in Billerica and my son is the third of my three kids to attend Shawsheen Tech. My kids have all benefitted greatly from their tech school experience and as a local contractor who has participated in the Co-op program offered at the tech I have benefitted both personally and professionally. I would like the opportunity to help the school that has provided so much to my family in any way I can. Thank you.

    Aimee Gallagher

    Burlington

Hi Members of the Shawsheen Community, my name is Aimee Gallagher and I am excited to announce that I am running for a spot as a 2023-24 Shawsheen School Council Representative. My son is entering his freshman year, and I am eager to play an active role in making Shawsheen the best it can be for him and all of the other students that he will share the halls with. I am also the parent of a high school graduate who now attends Harvard, and was active in many school proceedings while he attended Burlington High School. Having the experience of already guiding a student through high school has given me perspectives and experiences that will serve me well as a representative. On the other side of the same coin, having a student who is only a freshman means I will be able to serve the school community for years to come, and getting on the school council as a representative now will allow me to build skills to be an advocate for all of your students for years to come. In my personal life I am a nurse, and having been in this field for over 28 years, I have gained many skills that will translate well to being a member of the school council, such as advocacy and interpersonal skills. I am eager to get to know all of you better, and to be part of the forward momentum of the Shawsheen community. I look forward to meeting all of you over the next four years!

    James Kenney

I currently have a freshman at SVTHS. My other four kids are graduates of this school. I served on this committee last year and would like to continue giving back to Shawsheen for all the school has done for my family.

I am from the class of 1985. Have two step children attending. I hopefully have another son attending next school year. I'd love to be a part of this awesome school process.

    Carole Reardon

    Billerica

My name is Carole Reardon and I am a parent of a current sophomore student at SVTHS. My daughter Ella Reardon graduated with the class of 2023. I have a long and extensive work history related to education. I have taught children from infancy to adulthood. I have a masters degree in education and a major in human development. I have the time to serve on the school council. I believe in the importance of the School Council, which makes important decisions for a students and their work. I have both the time and the interest in making the Shawsheen Valley Technical High School The, best technical high school it can be.

    Kathryn Reynolds

    Bedford

Hi! I am a preschool teacher and a mom of a ninth-grade son here at Shawsheen. Coming from Bedford, I am interested in helping to build the connection between my town and Shawsheen, because I don't think people in Bedford are aware of how great of an option Shawsheen is for their kids. As a teacher, I also care deeply about schools building kids' confidence up and helping them to succeed. I'd love to work with the school and other parents to further this goal here. Thanks for your consideration!
