Billerica, MA – Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical School District is excited to announce the opening of registration for its annual Project Explore program for 7th-grade students, starting on October 1st. This program, beginning in January, is conducted in collaboration with Shawsheen’s sending middle schools and is divided into three sessions based on the town. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis at ShawsheenTech.org/ProjectExplore.

Project Explore is a complimentary, high-quality after-school program designed for 7th-grade students living within Shawsheen's school district (Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Tewksbury, and Wilmington). This distinctive program provides students the chance to explore various career pathways by participating in six out of the twenty vocational-technical programs offered at Shawsheen. The program spans over three weeks, held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Bus transportation is provided from each sending middle school to Shawsheen, and complimentary drop-off service is arranged near attendees' homes (specific stops are determined after registration closes and prior to the commencement of each session).

• Session 2: Burlington & Tewksbury
  Dates: January 28, 30 + February 4, 6, 11, 13

  Registration Deadline: Friday, December 13, 2024
• Session 3: Bedford, Hanscom, & Wilmington
  Dates: February 25, 27 + March 4, 6, 11, 13
  Time: 2:45-5:15 pm
  Registration Deadline: Friday, January 24, 2025

The 2025 Project Explore season expects to feature an exciting range of programs, including Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive, Bakery, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Culinary, Design and Visual Communications, Electrical, Graphic Arts, Health Assisting, Masonry, and Metal Fabrication & Welding. Please note that the programs offered are subject to change, and students will be randomly assigned to different programs.
