Commissioner Martinez’s Visit to Shawsheen Tech

This morning, we had the honor of welcoming Commissioner Pedro Martinez and his colleagues from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education to Shawsheen Tech! During his visit, Commissioner Martinez met with various members of our school community and visited a few of our CTE programs where he was able to watch and learn from our talented students while they showcased their skills. Commissioner Martinez shared with us that he was very impressed with Shawsheen staff, our school, the state-of-the art resources/equipment we have for students, and the strides we take to support all students – but he was MOST impressed by the students themselves. Before Commissioner Martinez concluded his visit, students presented him with gifts that they made for him (featured in the photo below). It was a successful visit, and we were incredibly proud to showcase the exceptional work our students do!
