Dear Shawsheen Parents/Guardians and Students,
We will be holding our Pep Rally on the football field at the end of the school day tomorrow, October 9, 2026. Since we will be dismissing students from the football field, please anticipate extra congestion in the student parking lot at the end of the school day tomorrow. To allow student pedestrians to safely exit the field and cross the parking lot during this busy time, please anticipate the following temporary measures we will have in place tomorrow at student dismissal:
Some rows of student parking will be roped off until all students have safely exited the field, and students parked in those areas will be delayed from exiting.
Traffic will be re-directed around the pedestrian walkway exiting the field, and this will likely cause slight traffic delays for everyone exiting the parking lot.
SVTHS staff and our School Resource Officer will be in the parking lot to guide students and traffic tomorrow afternoon. Please follow their directions, drive slowly, and anticipate slight delays. If a staff member (including the Crossing Guard) asks you to wait or re-direct your route, please be kind to them because they are prioritizing student safety and instead bring any issues you have directly to my office. If you wish to avoid the traffic completely, the lot is typically fully cleared out by 2:15pm. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding!
