As the #Classof2025 Vice President, Charolette took a moment to #recognize the unwavering #dedication of class advisor Greg Bendel. She shared, “He has put in so much time and effort into planning and organizing all our school events over the past four years. He has been such an amazing #mentor and gone out of his way to get as many students as possible involved with our class.” She ended by saying, “We are truly #grateful to have had the privilege of working by his side… we would like to #honor him today, by presenting this gift as a symbol of our gratitude.”
Jonathan Hureau kicked off #Commencement for the #ClassOf2025! He is this year’s Vocational Student of the Year and outgoing National Honor Society President.
Jonathan opened the #graduation #ceremony with a warm welcome. He then remarked on the accomplishments of his peers and said, “The #foundation you have #built for yourself in your time here is something that you should be so #proud of.”

NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT 📣 Matt Smith, a native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of #DickinsonCollege, has had a varied career driven by his passion for helping others. Starting his professional journey as Director at Glenn Ellen Country Club and later Boston Sports Club, Matt transitioned into #education. In 2008, he earned a Master’s in #SchoolCounseling from #UMass Boston, while working full-time as a pool technician.
Matt served as a school counselor at #Pentucket High School for 16 years, 7 years as a department head, before joining Shawsheen Tech as a #GuidanceCounselor in April 2024. He finds fulfillment in supporting students as they navigate their challenges and reach their goals.
Matt resides in Hamilton Wenham with his wife Allison, and their two children, Hannah (11) and Caleb (😎.
