Dear Shawsheen Students, Parents/Guardians, and Colleagues,

Congratulations to all of our students who earned medals at the SkillsUSA awards ceremony last Friday for the state-level competitions! Students who earned gold medals will travel to Atlanta at the end of June to represent Shawsheen and the state of Massachusetts at the National SkillsUSA contest - go Rams!

Attention Billerica Seniors! Elementary Schools Invite You Back on Friday, May 27

The Billerica Elementary schools would like to invite Billerica Seniors back to their elementary schools on Friday, May 27, at 9am (the Dutile will be at 10am). If you plan on attending, please fill out this brief form by 8:00am on Wednesday, May 25, so that we can notify the elementary schools.

Reminder: Senior Sign-Out - Thursday, May 26, 2022

The last day of school for seniors eligible to sign-out is next Thursday, May 26. 

• Requirements: In order to sign out on Thursday, May 26, 2022:
  • Submit the Senior Sign-out Form (due by Thursday, May 12, 2022)
  • Earn passing grades in 35 credits worth of courses + PE/Health
  • • 5 credits required in English
    • 5 credits required in Related
    • 20 credits required in Shop
    • 5 Additional credits required
    • Passing grade in PE/Health required
    • Meeting all graduation requirements
  • Complete shop hours & submit all co-op time cards
  • Return your school laptop, charger & bag (on Thursday, May 26, 2022)
  • Return all books, materials, & tools
  • Serve all outstanding detentions

Seniors will receive their cap & gown packages during school on Thursday as well.

Reminder: Junior Prom Information

The Junior Class council has secured a Junior Prom venue at the Wilmington/Tewksbury Elks on Friday, June 10^th from 6:30pm-10:00pm. The location of the venue is 777 South St. Tewksbury, MA 01876. Tickets will go on sale beginning Monday, May 2^nd in the school store during all lunches. Prices are as follows:

• May 2^nd-May 6^th: “Early Bird Special” $30.00 per ticket
• May 9^th-May 27^th: $40.00 per ticket

Students with any dietary restrictions can contact the Junior Class Advisors, Mr. Gore or Mr. Tildsley, in order to accommodate those requests.

Per section 7-8 of the SVTHS Student Handbook, students who wish to bring outside guests to junior prom must submit permission slips to the Dean's office prior to purchasing tickets. Permission slips will be available in the school store starting on Monday, April 11^th.

Support the Billerica Scholarship Foundation

The Billerica Scholarship Foundation requests your support, and you can do so by purchasing one of their Shawsheen replicas. View their flyer for more information.

Q4 Mid-Term Progress Reports 

Quarter 4 mid-term progress reports have been published and are available to view in the Aspen Family Portal. A link to the PDF copy of your child's progress report is available under the 'Published' section on the main page when you log into your Aspen Family Portal Account.
