• Auto Collision Repair And Refinishing

Collision Repair is one of the most progressive fields in the country. Technological changes in vehicle design and safety have changed automobiles drastically in the last twenty years and so have the skills necessary to repair them. Some of the skills required to repair damaged vehicles today include structural repair, non-structural repair, welding, steering and suspension, supplemental restraint systems and the latest advancement in collision repair technology, waterborne paint application.

The state-of-the art facility includes a Chief Automotive frame alignment machine with a Genesis computerized laser measuring system. A Welbilt downdraft bake booth fitted with a clean air respirator system is used for painting.  Other equipment students learn to use are MIG welders, plasma cutters, Uni-Spot welders and oxyacetylene torches.

Instructional objectives include fundamental skills in all areas of the field. The program also provides the opportunity for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
