    Dear Shawsheen Students, Parents/Guardians, and Colleagues, 

    It was great to have so many parents/guardians in attendance at last evening's Meet & Greet. We hope that you found the evening beneficial, as this is the second year we have structured a Meet & Greet format for Parent-Guardian/Teacher Night, and we used your feedback from last year's event to make changes for this year. Our next Parent-Guardian/Teacher Night is scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 5pm-8pm. We will send information about how to register for one-on-one conferences with teachers when we get closer to the date.

     

    Election Results

    Thank you to the ten parents/guardians who ran in last night's election for School Council Parent/Guardian Representatives. Due to a tie for third place, we have decided to invite the top four candidates to serve this year. Please join me in congratulating them: Kristen Baker, Melissa Bates, Dina Castiglia, and Carole Reardon. The full results are provided in the table below. The first School Council meeting will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 2:30pm in the School Committee Room.

    2023-2024 Meeting Dates for the SVTHS Parent Advisory Council (PAC)

    Class Rings for the Class of 2026

    On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, we will be holding a class meeting for Sophomores during homeroom to provide students with information about class rings. We will forward the information from that meeting to families after the meeting takes place.

     

    Letterman Jackets 

    The following information is from the SVTHS Athletics Department:

    Any student-athlete interested in ordering a Shawsheen Tech Letterman Jacket can now order through the Sarkisian Apparel online store.  This online store has been set-up to make the ordering process easier for you. To order your jacket, please click on the link below.  The online store closes on Sunday, October 8th.

    Thursday, October 5 - No School for Students

    Next Thursday, October 5, 2023, is a professional day for SVTHS staff and there will be no school for students.

     

    Friday, October 6 - Mid-Term

    Quarter 1 mid-term grades close next Friday, October 6, 2023. Mid-term progress reports will be published in Aspen by Friday, October 13, 2023.

     

    Reminder: School Photo Re-takes - Thursday, October 19

    Students can re-take their school photos with SmilePro on Thursday, October 19. To sign up for photo re-takes, please email Diane Cedorchuk.

     

    Reminder: Attention Seniors - It's Time to Order Your Graduation Cap & Gown Packages!

    Orders are due by October 27, 2023. There are many packages to choose from, but the Essential Package has all of the items you will need for graduation day (cap, gown, stole, and tassel) for a cost of $34.
