Financial Aid Night - Tuesday, October 24, 2023
The following message was originally shared by the SVTHS Guidance Department:
Attention Parents & Guardians of 11th & 12th grade students: on Tuesday, October 24th from 6:00-7:30PM, we will hold our Financial Aid Night. Amy Staffier, Director of Financial Aid from Simmons University, will be presenting information regarding the financial aid process. The target audience for this event is parents/guardians but students are welcome to attend as well.
Attention Class of 2024!
The following message was originally shared by the SVTHS Guidance Department:
The Shawsheen Tech Guidance Office created the following document: Senior College Planning Checklist as a tool to help you complete the steps required to apply to college. If you plan to apply to a 4-year college, please review the document and reach out to your counselor if you have any questions or need clarification. Counselors will be visiting students in Related to give a general overview of the college application process but a 1-1 appointment with your counselor is recommended, especially if you plan to apply to college with an “Early Action” deadline (typically on or around November 1st).
Grab and Go Lunch Line
SVTHS cafeteria staff have been working to accommodate the high volume of student interest in school lunches. To help alleviate the long lines, a grab and go station has been set up outside of the salad bar area, which will also provide free lunch the way the other lines do.
School Council
The School Council meets monthly in the School Committee Room. School Council meetings are open to the public. Information about the School Council, including meeting dates/times, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes can be viewed at the following link: Principal's Office / School Council - 2023-2024 (shawsheentech.org)
Reminder: Attention Seniors - Cap & Gown Orders DUE by next Friday, October 27!
Orders for graduation cap and gown packages are due by October 27, 2023. There are many packages to choose from, but the Essential Package has all of the items you will need for graduation day (cap, gown, stole, and tassel) for a cost of $34. Help Spread the Word: SVTHS Annual Open House - Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2pm-4pm
Shawsheen Valley Technical School is excited to extend an invitation to all community members for its annual Open House on November 5, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This event is in-person and open to anyone interested in discovering the offerings of the Shawsheen Valley Vocational Technical School District. Prospective students, alumni, community members, business partners, and family and friends are encouraged to attend. Additionally, an array of enriching extracurricular clubs and activities will be on display. This self-guided event will empower participants to explore the stunning Shawsheen campus while attending interactive demonstrations in both academic and vocational programs.
Reminder: Help Spread the Word - Registration for 7th Grade Project Explore is Open
