TECHNOLOGY INSURANCE FEE
Shawsheen Valley Tech High School assigns a laptop to each student at no charge. To offset any accidental or unintentional damage to the laptop, Shawsheen has institutionalized a technology insurance fee of $40 per year for each student.
The device used in teaching and learning supports a 21st-century learning experience and empowers our students to be more active participants in their learning. In both academic courses and some career majors, students will use and access electronic resources to engage in and enhance their learning experience through collaboration, curation, communication, and creativity, as well as increasing organizational skills and improving time management. Shawsheen is an Office 365 school which is cloud-based software and data storage resource.

- 1st incident*-- no charge for repair/replacement.
- 2nd incident --parent/guardian responsible for half the cost of the laptop for repair/replacement.
- 3rd incident --parent/guardian responsible for full cost of the laptop for repair/replacement.
