Updated 2023-2024 SVTHS School Calendar
On Tuesday night, the School Committee approved a revised version of the 2023-2024 school calendar, which includes two additional early release/teacher workshop days this spring, as listed below:
- Wednesday, April 3, 2024 - student dismissal at 10:43am
- Wednesday, June 12, 2024 - student dismissal at 10:43am

FREE Math & Biology MCAS Academy

Attention all sophomore students, parents & guardians: Shawsheen is offering another FREE program to help students prepare for the Mathematics and Biology MCAS exams during April break. Shawsheen Summer Programming - Registration is OPEN
Shawsheen Valley Technical High School is thrilled to announce registration is now open for the highly anticipated 2024 "Summer at Shawsheen" program. Tailored for youth ages 7-18, the program features over twenty diverse options at affordable rates, spanning different durations throughout a dynamic four-week period. Having achieved a record-breaking attendance of 572 students last year, this year's programs are expected to fill fast; it is highly recommended to register early. Winter Sports Update
The following update is from the SVTHS Athletics Department:
Congratulations to all of our winter athletes for their accomplishments, and good luck to our athletes still competing in tournaments - GO RAMS!
- Boys Basketball (15-7)
- State Vocational Tournament - Large Division: The Rams have earned the #3 seed and defeated #2 Worcester Tech on 2/23/24 by the score of 44-32 in the State Vocational Semifinal.
The Rams lost to #1 Lynn Tech on 2/25/24 by the score of 46-40 in the State Vocational Championship. - MIAA D3 State Tournament - Round of 32: The #19 Rams will take on #14 Watertown High School on Friday, March 1st at 7:45pm.
- State Vocational Tournament - Large Division: The Rams have earned the #3 seed and defeated #2 Worcester Tech on 2/23/24 by the score of 44-32 in the State Vocational Semifinal.
- Boys Hockey (22-1) CAC League & State Vocational Champions
- State Vocational Tournament - Large Division: The Rams defeated Diman Regional 7-1 to win the State Vocational Championship game on 2/24/24
- MIAA D3 State Tournament - Round of 32: The #2 Rams faced #31 Hopedale last night (2/29/24) with a 3-1 win to advance to the Sweet 16 MIAA Tournament game
- MIAA D3 State Tournament – Sweet Sixteen: Rams will take on #15 Blackstone Valley on 3/3/24 at 7:10pm at the Hallenborg Ice Rink
- The team was awarded with the Poland Springs The Ice Runs Deep Award Team of the Week Award
- Captain Chase Darcey hit his 100th career goal
- Girls Hockey (13-7)
- MIAA D1 State Tournament - Round of 32: The #28 Rams faced #8 Hingham High School on 2/28/24 and lost 5-0.
- The team had their most wins during regular season play in team history
- Wrestling (26-0) League & State Vocational Champions
- 26 & 0 – First undefeated regular season in Shawsheen history, ending the year as the #1 ranked team in Massachusetts!
- D1 North Championships (Methuen MA) - Caleb Caceres, James Tildsley, and Sid Tildsley will be added to the banners as North Champions.
- D1 State Championship (Newton South MA) – James Tildsley won back-to-back titles and Sid Tildsley won his third division 1 Title
- All-State Championships (Salem MA) – Sid Tildsley achieved the 3-peat (school record) in overtime & James Tildsley took home the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament award.
- New England Championship (Providence RI) – Four Rams have qualified to compete at the 59th Annual event – Caleb Caceres, Dante Graziano, Sid Tildsley, and James Tildsley
- Basketball Cheerleading
- The Rams earned 3rd place in Sunday's CAC Competition at Greater Lowell.
The Rams will compete at the Regional Competition on 3/2/24 at Billerica High School.
- The Rams earned 3rd place in Sunday's CAC Competition at Greater Lowell.
- Co-ed Swimming:
- The Boys Swim team captured the State Voke Championship, the championship marks the 5th in a row for the Rams.
- The Girls Swim team earned runner up in the State Voke Championship.
- Division 1 North Section (WPI)- 4 Rams swimmers qualified for post-season: Harry Kinsella, Eliot Hong, Matt Kilfoyle and Jared Kruger
- Record Breakers:
- 200 yard Medley-Boys (Matt Kilfoyle, Eliot Hong, Jared Krueger and Harrison Kinsella)
- 100 yard Breaststroke-Boys (Eliot Hong)
