    Dear Shawsheen Students, Parents/Guardians, and Colleagues,  

     

    We look forward to celebrating the seniors (and soon-to-be graduates) as they cross the graduation stage next week, and are so proud of the many accomplishments of the Class of 2024!

    Reminder: Senior Breakfast, Vocational Awards & Graduation Rehearsal - Monday, June 3, 2024 

    On Monday, June 3, 2024, seniors will participate in a mandatory graduation rehearsal after a senior breakfast and the presentation of vocational awards. Seniors should report to the cafeteria at 8:30am for the senior breakfast. After breakfast, seniors will report to the gymnasium for vocational awards and graduation rehearsal to ensure all students are prepared to participate in the graduation ceremony. Graduation tickets, student records, and laptops will be distributed to students during the graduation rehearsal.

     

    Science MCAS - June 4-5, 2024

    Graduation Tickets & Overview

    Seniors will receive tickets for graduation during graduation rehearsal on June 3. Each student will receive six purple tickets to be used for the outdoor graduation ceremony and two yellow tickets to be used in the event that graduation is moved indoors. Graduation is scheduled outdoors on Thursday, June 6 at 6pm. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be delayed until Friday, June 7. If there is inclement weather preventing an outdoor ceremony again on Friday, June 7, then graduation will be moved indoors at Burlington High School on Friday, June 7. Due to space limitations, if there is an indoor graduation, each student will be limited to the two yellow tickets. Students can receive additional purple tickets for the anticipated outdoor ceremony at the end of graduation rehearsal on Monday, June 3.

    On Thursday, June 6, seniors must report to their assigned rooms by 5pm (room assignments will be provided during graduation rehearsal). Seniors are reminded to bring all parts of their graduation attire (cap, gown, stole, and tassel) with them. The parking lot fills quickly on graduation night and we strongly encourage seniors and families to carpool and minimize the number of vehicles that will be arriving for each graduate.

    June 7, 2024 - Early Dismissal & Building Closing at 1pm

    Friday, June 7 is an early release day for students, with a dismissal time of 10:43pm. Please note that building will be closing at 1pm that day as well.

     

    Attention Parents/Guardians of Wilmington Seniors!

    If you wish to place your child's yard sign at the Wilmington Town Common to celebrate your senior, you can do so from May 28 to June 11 by bringing the sign to the Town Common (across from Wilmington High on Route 62), and placing it in line with the others.

         1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (JV/Varsity) - Gym
         2:00 pm - 4:00 pm (Freshman) - Gym

    All Student-Athletes interested in playing a Fall Sport; MUST register through Arbiter Registration by Thursday, August 15th. All student-athletes must have a current physical uploaded to their Arbiter account and complete the following two Concussion Protocols: NFHS Concussion in Sports Course (you do not need to turn in the certificate of completion) and a Baseline Concussion Test - The Baseline Concussion Test must be completed by all NEW (9th graders & transfers) as well as RETURNING 11th graders and any athlete who has not completed it in previous seasons. The Athletic Trainer will complete the Baseline Concussion Test during the first few weeks of the season.

    Free Sports Physical Day for the upcoming 2024-2025 Sports Season-August 15th
    GRADES 10, 11 & 12 ONLY-(no incoming Freshman-Class of 2028)

    Shawsheen will be hosting a free Sports Physical Day on Thursday, August 15th from 1:00-4:00pm in the Nurse’s Office for the upcoming 2024-2025 Sports Season. All Student-athletes MUST have a current physical on file in order to tryout/participate in sports. Physicals expire 13 months from the physical date (for example – a physical that was done on June 23, 2023 will expire July 23, 2024).

    Reminder: Technology Insurance Fee

    This is a reminder if you have not already made your payment of $40 for the Technology Insurance Fee for this year which is outlined in the Shawsheen Student Handbook (pg. 35) is due.

    There are two options for payment either by check OR credit/debit/electronic check. Listed below is the link which explains the process for either form of payment.
