    SkillsUSA National Competition

    This week, the 16 students who earned gold medals at the SkillsUSA state conference are competing against their peers from across the country at the National SkillsUSA conference in Atlanta, Georgia. We are so proud of these students and wish them good luck - Go Rams!!

    Final Report Cards & Q4 Honor Roll

    Final report cards were published in Aspen on Friday, June 21. Congratulations to our students who earned High Honors and Honors for Quarter Four! Their work ethic and achievements in both academic and vocational-technical courses is something they should all be proud of. Please join me in recognizing these students for their accomplishments.

    2024-2025 SVTHS Student Handbook and Back to School Registration

    During the week of July 15, 2024, parents/guardians will receive instructions via email regarding how to log into Aspen and complete back-to-school registration. Through this process, parents/guardians will review & update information in Aspen, and provide electronic permissions for items outlined in the 2024-2025 SVTHS Student Handbook. As of July 15, parents/guardians and their students will be unable to log into their Aspen accounts until that process is complete. Please review the 2024-2025 SVTHS Student Handbook in advance to ensure you are ready to complete the permissions in Aspen when instructions are sent out in mid-July.

     

    Student Schedules for the 2024-2025 School Year

    Student schedules will be available to view in Aspen near the end of August and we will notify students and families once those are available to view. Please note, students and families will be unable to log into Aspen to view schedules at the end of August if parents/guardians have not completed the process outlined in the section above about the student handbook and back to school registration.

     

    Updated Calendar - 2024-2025 School Year

    Last night, the School Committee approved a few updates to the calendar previously released for the 2024-2025 school year. In the updated version of the calendar, dates have been added in for the SkillsUSA District Competition, early release day and ELA MCAS in March; Mathematics MCAS in May; and Science MCAS in June.     Student Parking Passes for the 2024-2025 School Year

    Parking passes will be provided to eligible 11th and 12th grade students for $25.00 (cash or check made out to SVTHS) for the 2024- 2025 school-year. Parking passes will be distributed to students on Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27 from 8:00am – 2:00pm. In order to receive a parking pass on one of those days, students must complete the following by Friday, August 16, 2024:

    • Fill out and submit the Parking Pass Form (students must be logged into their Microsoft 365 accounts to complete the form)
    • Email Lynne Melaragni at lmelaragni@shawtech.org with
      • A copy of a valid driver’s license
      • A copy of your vehicle registration

    Students are subject to rules outlined in the 2024-2025 SVTHS Student Handbook or their parking privileges may be revoked.
