    Principal's Update

    Dear Shawsheen Students, Families, and Colleagues:

    Quarter 1 Reports Cards, Exploratory Report Cards (for cycles 1-4), and Failure Letters have been published and are available to view in Aspen. Additionally, hard copies of Q1 Failure Letters have been mailed home. Next week, we will share information about students who on the Honor Roll and High Honor Roll for their exceptional performance during the first quarter. Please note: We are aware there is an ASPEN issue (“this page is not working” or white screen) that is preventing some students and families from logging into Aspen, and we have notified the company. As we wait for a response from them, here are some instructions to help resolve the issue that many are experiencing: Close all your open browsers completely (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox), reopen, and then connect to ASPEN. 

     

    Registration for November 21, 2024 Parent/Guardian-Teacher Conferences

    Parent/Guardian-Teacher Night will be held in-person at Shawsheen Tech on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Conferences will be limited to five minutes each to help ensure everyone's access to the educators they wish to meet with. You are encouraged to schedule follow-up meetings with educators if longer conversations are required. Appointments will be offered from 5pm - 8pm for all educators except for vocational teachers, who will have appointments offered from 6pm - 8pm. Please note that you have to register for conferences in advance - links to register for teacher conferences will be sent to parents/guardians at 6pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 and registration will remain open until all appointment times are taken, or at 5pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 (whichever comes first).

     

    Financial Aid Night Presentation

    Reminder: School Climate Survey Due by Monday, November 18, 2024

    In an effort to measure student, staff, and family perceptions of school climate at Shawsheen, we are utilizing the School Climate Survey Suite from the Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. There are three distinct surveys to gather information from students, school staff, and families. Links to those surveys were emailed directly to those three target groups on Monday, November 4, 2024, and the survey windows will remain open until Monday, November 18, 2024. We hope you will participate in those surveys if you have not done so already. Participation is voluntary, and responses will be anonymous.
