We held a senior class meeting this morning to review important end-of-year topics with the Class of 2025. During that meeting we provided a handout with information on important dates, listed in chronological order. That information is detailed for you below. This is an exciting time for seniors, and we can't wait to see them cross the stage in just two months and eight days from today!
1. Yearbook Information

- Yearbooks will be distributed on Wednesday, May 28 (if ordered)
- Yearbook supplements with prom photos and graduation photos will be mailed directly to seniors over the summer
2. May 2024 – Senior Sign Out Form
- Guidance Counselors will meet with seniors individually in May to complete the Senior Sign Out form. This form helps us gather information about how to contact you after graduation, what your postsecondary plans are, and where you want final transcripts released to.
- Be prepared with the following information to complete this form with your Guidance Counselor:
- Your contact info for after graduation (NOT your Shawsheen email address).
- Your plans after graduation and any supporting documentation (college acceptance letters, employment offers, military paperwork, etc.).
- The colleges you want final transcripts released to.
3. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 – Cap/Gown & Yearbook Distribution & Laptop Return
- Students will receive their graduation cap & gown packages for graduation.
- Students will receive their yearbooks (if ordered).
- Seniors will return their laptops.
- Laptops will be returned to students to keep during Graduation Rehearsal on Monday, June 2, 2025. If a student has not paid the Tech Insurance fee, they will not be able to keep their laptop.
4. Friday, May 30, 2025 – Senior Prom at Seaglass in Salisbury, MA from 6pm-10pm
- Cost = $80 per ticket.
- Ticket Sales:
- Tickets will be on sale Monday, April 7 – Friday, May 16 in the school store during student lunches.
- Please indicate any dietary restrictions at the time of ticket sales.
- Professional Photos:
- Smile Pro will be on site for professional photos.
- Parents/guardians will be emailed the information on photo packages. Please print and bring your envelope with payment to Seaglass for Smile Pro.
- Guests:
- Seniors and Shawsheen guests must meet all eligibility requirements to attend the prom.
- Guest permission forms are required for non-Shawsheen guests and are available in the school store.
- Adult guests who are 21+ are not allowed to attend.
- Please note - parking is limited at this location.
- Large bags will NOT be allowed – all bags will be subject to search.
- There will be no re-entry to the prom if students decide to leave early.
- School Attendance & Dismissals:
- Shawsheen students must be present in school the day of the prom in order to attend.
- Early dismissals (10:43am or later) will be excused for students attending the prom that evening.
- Seniors attending the 9am event at Billerica elementary schools can be dismissed early.
- Dismissal forms will be provided at the time of ticket sales.
- Students can bring in dismissal forms starting on Monday, April 28.
- Reminder: All school rules apply – the senior prom is a school sponsored event.
5. Friday, May 30, 2025 – Senior Sign-Out
- Last day of school for seniors who meet sign-out requirements.
- Requirements: To sign out on Friday, May 30, 2025, seniors must successfully complete the following:
- Meet with your guidance counselor to complete the Senior Sign Out Form.
- Earn passing grades in 35 credits worth of courses + PE/Health.

- 5 credits required in English.
- 5 credits required in Related.
- 20 credits required in Shop.
- 5 Additional credits required.
- Passing grade in PE/Health required.
- Meet all graduation requirements.
- Complete shop hours & submit all co-op time cards.
- Return your school laptop (on Wednesday, May 28, 2025).
- Receive graduation caps & gowns (on Wednesday, May 28, 2025).
- Return all books, materials, & tools.
- Pay all outstanding bills. (i.e. tech insurance fee, missing books, etc.).
- Serve all outstanding detentions.
- Students who fail to meet sign out requirements will have to return to school on Monday, June 2.
6. Monday, June 2, 2025 – Senior Breakfast, Vocational Awards & Graduation Rehearsal
- Mandatory
- Senior Breakfast in the Cafeteria – students must arrive by 8:30am (can arrive as early as 8am)
- Bring yearbooks for classmates to sign.
- Following Breakfast (report to the gymnasium):
- Vocational Awards
- Graduation Rehearsal
- Graduation tickets will be distributed
- 6 per student if outdoors
- 2 per student if indoors
- Student records will be distributed
- Laptops will be distributed
- Graduation tickets will be distributed
7. Thursday, June 5, 2025 – Graduation at 6pm
- Seniors report to assigned rooms by 5pm.
- The parking lot fills quickly on graduation night and we strongly encourage seniors and families to carpool and minimize the number of vehicles that will be arriving for each graduate.
- Caps, Gowns, Stoles, and Tassels: Don't forget to bring all parts of your graduation attire, including your cap, gown, stole, and tassel.
- Footwear: Pointy high-heel shoes should not be worn this evening on the turf field.
8. Friday, June 6, 2025 – Graduation at 6pm (RAIN DATE)
- Option 1: outdoor graduation at Shawsheen (6 guests allowed)
- Option 2: if the weather requires, graduation will be moved indoors at Burlington High School (2 guests allowed)
9. Thursday, June 5 – Friday, June 6, 2025 – All Night Grad Party
- Starts at 10pm on Thursday, June 5, ends at 5:30am on Friday, June 6
- Free event hosted by the PAC but sign-up is required (available end of May with Mrs. Ferrari)
- Highlights include: Food and beverages throughout the evening and donuts in the morning, DJ, Video Gaming Truck, Inflatables, Selfie Station, Hypnotist, Caricature Artists, Henna & Airbrush Tattoos, Angel Card Readers (positive fortune), RC Car Racing, and Students vs. Teachers/Admin games.
- Each graduate will also receive an alumni t-shirt. (Be sure to answer survey re: t-shirt size from Mrs. Ferrari)
