Dear Shawsheen Students, Families, and Colleagues:

Please join me in congratulating the 57 Shawsheen students who earned medals in the district SkillsUSA competition! Most of these students have qualified to move on to compete at the state level in May. We are so proud of these students for showcasing their knowledge and skills in their vocational-technical areas and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next. Go Rams!

Class of 2028 Shop Selections Due by 11:59pm on Sunday!

Please review the shop selection instructions shared with freshmen and their families yesterday, if you have not done so already: Principal's Office / Shop Selection Instructions for the Class of 2028.

    Senior Class Meeting Information

Earlier today, we met with the senior class to review important end-of-year information. That information was shared with senior parents/guardians earlier today. You can review that information by licking on the following link: Principal's Office / Important Information for Seniors.

Elementary School Breakfast for Billerica Seniors

During this morning's meeting, we shared with students that if they attended a Billerica public elementary school, they are invited back for a senior breakfast with their elementary school teachers, on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 9am. Billerica seniors who get dismissed to attend this event will be excused (with a dismissal note from a parent/guardian). I've been informed that this is the 'favorite day of the year' for the elementary school teachers, and they are excited to see their former students before they graduate high school!

Siena DeMatteo Earns Microsoft Office Specialist Associate Certification

Congratulations to Siena DeMatteo, a junior in Business Technology/Marketing, the first student in the Business Tech class of 2027 to earn the Microsoft Office Specialist Associate Certification, after successfully completing the Microsoft 365, PowerPoint 365, and Word 365 exams! Go Siena!

Reminder: The Culture Fair is Two Weeks Away!

We hope you will join us for this exciting community event!

Reminder: Student Collection Drive for the Rams Resource Room is Underway!

Thanks to the leadership of our Student Cabinet and Student Council, Shawsheen is launching a 'Ram Resource Room' in the Guidance department. The room will provide free hygiene and feminine products to students in need, similar to Catie's Closet. Students decided to pursue this initiative instead of a ‘Shawsheen Swap’ due to limited interest in that event, and are VERY excited that this permanent resource will be made available to our student body instead! To stock the room, students are holding a collection drive from Monday, March 24 to Tuesday, April 29. Items being collected include shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, tampons, sanitary napkins, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other hygiene products. Students ask all members of the Shawsheen community to contribute what they can to support this new endeavor. There will be collection boxes hosted in classrooms and shops throughout the school, and at the main office. Go Rams!

    Sincerely,

    Jessica Cook
