    Guest Dining Room

Food service remains one of the fastest growing and most competitive industries both in the United States and worldwide.  Trained food service employees are needed in every phase of the economy such as hotels, restaurants, bakeries, businesses, hospitals, airlines and cruise ships.  The Culinary Arts program begins with an introduction to all aspects of a commercial food service operation and ends with students designing their own restaurant concept including recipes, menu and cost analysis.  In between, students split time between the commercial kitchen and bakery and utilize modern, real-world facilities including a full service, student-run restaurant and a bake shop complete with decorating area and retail sales counter.  In addition, students receive on-site training at area restaurants, bakeries, hotels and health care facility kitchens as part of the Cooperative Education program.  The new phenomenon of the Food Truck will now be part of the students' experience!
